The buildings fire panel, sometimes positioned in a fire control room, is the heart of the emergency warning system. Fire panels require checking and servicing each month to ensure they are working correctly with a detailed set of tests, simulations and inspections required annually. The extent of the testing depends on the systems that form part of the buildings hazard management infrastructure.
Australian Standard 1851 requires the inspection, testing and routine servicing and survey of the emergency warning system to be conducted monthly, with a rigorous set of tests, simulations, and inspections of all aspects of the system and the building to be undertaken annually.
Records of these inspections and tests form part of the annual AESMR report that every owner of a building in a designated class is required to complete.
ESS has a team of panel technicians trained conduct the required tests quickly and efficiently.
As the work is done, each step is record by the technician in our maintenance management system, and the information is immediately available to clients through our dedicated client portal. The information is also stored to facilitate AESMR reporting.
Inspection and testing by qualified technicians give you peace of mind your buildings are compliant with the Building Regulations and more importantly, the emergency warning system will work if there is ever the need.
